1. Scope

This policy applies to the TLDR Pods website, console, API, accounts, Tldrs, and any related service. It forms part of our Terms of Service. You are responsible for anyone who uses the service through your account or API key.

2. Prohibited use

You must not use TLDR Pods to:

break any law, regulation, court order, or legally binding obligation;
infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
reconstruct, extract, scrape, or distribute a raw or substantially complete podcast transcript, or combine Tldrs to create a substitute for source content;
bypass paywalls, access controls, geographic restrictions, robots rules, or technical measures used by a publisher or platform;
impersonate a person or organisation, falsely imply endorsement, or misrepresent a Tldr as words published or approved by a person covered in it;
harass, threaten, defame, exploit, discriminate against, or facilitate harm to a person;
submit personal data about someone else without a lawful basis, or submit passwords, payment-card data, health records, identification documents, or other highly sensitive data;
make a medical, legal, financial, employment, insurance, credit, or other high-impact decision about a person solely from a Tldr;
probe, scan, or test a vulnerability; introduce malware; disrupt the service; access another account; or attempt to obtain source code, credentials, or non-public data;
evade usage limits, share or resell access, rotate accounts or keys to avoid controls, or automate the website outside the documented API;
send spam, run deceptive campaigns, or build a competing transcript or content archive; or
help another person do anything prohibited by this policy.

3. API & automated access

Use the documented API for automated requests. Keep keys secret, respect concurrency and rate limits, and identify your integration honestly where requested. You may cache Tldrs for your own permitted use, but you may not mirror the service, publish a collection of Tldrs, resell access, or use automated requests to reproduce source material.

4. Plan limits

Each plan has a monthly Tldr allowance, per-request episode cap, and operational limits shown on the pricing page or in your account. You must not evade those limits through credential sharing, multiple accounts, automated retries, or key rotation. Contact us before load testing or arranging higher-volume commercial use.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant records. Depending on seriousness, we may warn you, limit a request, revoke an API key, remove material, suspend an account, or terminate access. We may report conduct to a platform, rights holder, affected person, or authority where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights or safety.

Where appropriate, we will give you notice and a chance to explain or correct the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for security threats, unlawful conduct, or serious harm.
