Effective 17 July 2026
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of TLDR Pods, including paid subscriptions, Tldrs, the API, and the collection curated by TLDR Pods.
1. Who we are
TLDR Pods is a trading name of YORKECCAK LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17334058. Our registered office is 21 Hornyold Avenue, Malvern, WR14 1QJ, United Kingdom. In these terms, "TLDR Pods", "we", "us", and "our" refer to YORKECCAK LTD.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to create an account or buy a subscription. By using the service, you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, and the policies linked below.
2. What TLDR Pods provides
TLDR Pods creates original, source-linked Tldrs about ideas discussed in publicly available podcast episodes. A Tldr is an original summary and analysis, not a transcript, recording, or substitute for the source episode. We do not provide raw transcripts or transcript downloads.
Public answers are selected and published by us. Tldrs you create through your account are visible only to you unless we separately agree with you in writing. We do not add your Tldrs to the public answer library without your permission.
TLDR Pods is independent. Unless we expressly say otherwise, no podcaster, guest, publisher, platform, or rights holder is affiliated with, sponsors, or endorses TLDR Pods. Names, show titles, artwork, recordings, and links remain the property of their respective owners.
3. Accounts & security
Give us accurate account information and keep your sign-in method and API keys secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account until you notify us of unauthorised access. API keys are personal to your account and must not be published, sold, or shared between unrelated users.
Contact harveyyorke@proton.me promptly if you believe your account or key has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions, renewal & cancellation
The price, billing interval, included usage, and applicable plan limits are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same interval until cancelled. You authorise us and our payment provider to collect each recurring charge using your chosen payment method.
The contract is provided in English. Before placing an order, you can review and change the selected plan and billing period or leave checkout without paying. We send the contract confirmation and required cancellation information by email after a successful order so you can keep them.
You can stop renewal at any time through the billing portal in your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, so you retain access until then. Our Cancellation & Refunds policy explains cooling-off rights, failed runs, and refund requests. Nothing in these terms limits a statutory consumer right.
We may change prices for a future renewal. We will give reasonable advance notice and the change will not alter a period you have already paid for.
5. Tldrs, sources & accuracy
Tldrs are produced from available source material and automated language processing. They can omit context, misunderstand a statement, contain an incorrect citation, or become outdated. Source links may also move or disappear. Check important claims against the linked episode before relying on them.
TLDR Pods provides general information, not medical, mental-health, legal, tax, financial, investment, training, or other professional advice. Do not use a Tldr as the sole basis for a high-impact decision. Seek an appropriately qualified professional where one is needed.
You may use Tldrs you paid for for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to third-party rights and these terms. You may not sell Tldrs, present them as raw source material, use them to reconstruct or distribute transcripts, or remove source attribution.
6. Your inputs
You retain any rights you hold in a query or other material you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce, and transform that material only as needed to create the Tldr you request, store it in your account, provide support, protect the service, prevent abuse, and comply with law. This licence ends when the material is deleted, except for necessary backups, legal records, and material already anonymised so it can no longer identify you.
Do not submit confidential information, personal data about another person, or sensitive information such as health records, identification documents, or payment-card details in a query. You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit.
7. Intellectual property & rights-holder concerns
We and our licensors own the service, software, brand, site design, and the original selection and presentation of our public answers. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. They also do not transfer any rights in third-party podcast content to us or to you.
Rights holders can report a citation, quotation, public Tldr, or source through our Copyright & Takedown Policy. We review sufficiently detailed notices and may remove material, disable access, correct a citation, or exclude a source while we investigate.
8. Availability & changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that every show, episode, or question can be processed, that the service will always be uninterrupted, or that a particular feature will remain available. We may change or discontinue features for operational, security, legal, or product reasons. Where a change materially reduces a paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and any remedy required by law.
9. Suspension & termination
We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe there is fraud, a security risk, unlawful use, material breach of these terms, non-payment, or harm to the service or another person. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to fix the issue. Serious or repeated breaches may result in termination.
You may stop using TLDR Pods at any time. You can delete your account from account settings or request deletion by emailing harveyyorke@proton.me. Account deletion immediately cancels any subscription and ends paid access, even if time remains in your paid period. It permanently deletes your Tldrs, subject to records we must retain by law.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss, or for loss caused by your failure to follow reasonable instructions or verify an important claim against its source.
If you use TLDR Pods for business purposes, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and liability for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in that period.
11. General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, financing, or sale if your rights are not materially reduced. No third party has a right to enforce these terms.
We may update these terms. We will post the revised date and give reasonable notice of a material change. The laws of England and Wales govern these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable law.
